JSS Knowledge Resource centre for Science and Technology aims to be an excellent educational and resource centre for students and teachers to enrich their scientific knowledge by fostering awareness, a scientific attitude and a scientific way of thinking. Additionally, it offers an immersive and experiential setting for both entertainment and learning. JSS Mahavidyapeeta has established JSS Knowledge Resource Centre for Science & Technology at Sri Suttur Kshetra with the financial assistance from Karnataka Science and Technology Promotion Society (KSTePS), Department of Science and Technology GOK
The center is hosting workshops, demonstrations, and activities. It also has exhibition halls with various interactive setups. Amidst the verdant lawn, the Science Park showcases a variety of scientific ideas. A visit might become a life-changing event for excited kids. The Center, in its several halls features interactive displays from a variety of science and technology disciplines and space related models like Rockets and Satellites which helps students to engage with astronomy and space science, enhancing their understanding and interest in these fields. Also, the centre has several outdoor science exhibits installed in a lush green park. It’s designed to make science learning easy. Students can learn about subjects like Centre of Gravity, Angular momentum, levers and pulleys, Swings and other mechanical concepts. Students can also take part in sky-watching program and they can enjoy seeing different constellations and celestial bodies in the night sky.
Sri Suttur Kshetra
The Jagadguru Veerasimhaasana Mahasamsthana Peetha was established in the 11th Century A.D. at Suttur by Adi Jagadguru Sri Shivarathreeshwara Shivayogi Mahaswamiji has a history dating back to 1000 years according to the scriptures. The Peetha with its high ideals has been making remarkable contribution in religious, social, educational and economic spheres in the state and across the country. It is striving for social development by responding to the community needs. Sri Suttur Math is today regarded as one of the leading organizations for disseminating the ideals of universal brotherhood and striving to spread human values and ethics across the world through an array of activities – spiritual, cultural and educational. Sri Suttur kshetra located on the bank of river Kapila is a headquarter of Jagadguru Sri Veerasimhasana Mahasamsthana Math which is surrounded by T.Narasipur, and Mysore taluk. It is located at a distance of 10 kms from the Eastern tip of Mysore city. It is a pilgrim centre which attracts thousands of tourists from all over south India every day. It has ancient temples having Chola style of Architecture. The math has the culture of Dasoha (providing free food) for all the pilgrims who visit the centre. In addition to being a pilgrim centre, it is the seat of learning for people. It has institutions for training teachers and farmers through Krishi Vignyana Kendra. It is on the tourist map of Karnataka and the Ministry of tourism, Govt. of India has identified “Sri Suttur kshetra” as one of the important tourist centers. JSS Mahavidyapeetha runs a free school at Suttur which has more than 6000 economically backward children from all parts of the state and outside the state as well. In addition to this, there are more than 250 schools and colleges covering 45,000 children and 2,500 teachers in surrounding taluks.Three neighboring districts (namely Madikeri, Mandya & Chamrajnagar) can also take advantage of providing Science exposure to the children through this JSS KRCST.

JSS Mahavidyapeetha is a society registered in the year 1954 under Karnataka societies Registration Act.This organization has pioneered the concept of education as a tool for social change. It has adopted a multi – pronged approach to ensure better quality of life. It has established more than 350 plus institutions spread across the world located in many Indian states (Karnataka, Tamilnadu &Uttar Pradesh)as well as in Mauritius, USA & Dubai. More than one lakh students are pursuing their education. Institutions in its fold go beyond education to span crèche, old age homes, co-operatives, rural development, orphanages, vocational training (agri & allied areas), publication, even cultural revival & protection of our heritage.
